Yaşar University has established Yaşar University Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center (YÜKAM) in order to carry out scientific activities and awareness studies on gender inequality. Speaking at the online panel titled “Gender Equality, Patriarchal and Violence” organized as the first activity of the center, YÜKAM Director Prof. Dr. Huriye Toker said, “An average of 5 women are killed every day in our country. “Every day we remain silent, we are all responsible for femicide and inequality against women,” he said.
